New Stampin' Up! demonstrator!!!

OK, so my wonderful Stampin' Up demonstrator, Helen, finally got me to sign on the dotted line to become a demonstrator myself. I suppose it wasn't a difficult decision as I absolutely adore all their products from the stamp sets to the designer papers! The wonderful new catalogue with all the gorgeous new sets also helped.

Once I get my kit and start playing I will add my efforts to this blog!!

Fun & Fast Notes card for Betty

I love this versatile Stampin' Up set, especially this little bird!

With it I used kraft, barely banana and taken with teal cardstock. Polka dot background stamp and a scallop edge punch. I also used one of the flower stamps from Itty Bitty Blooms (level 2 hostess set from new 2009/2010 Stampin' Up catalogue) and turned it into a butterfly!

Sorry for the awful image - not quite got the hang of photography yet!!

Penny's Fold Card for Dawn

Here's the card I made for my lovely friend Dawn. Sometimes you meet people who you feel you have known forever even though it hasn't been that long. That is how I feel about Dawn.

I used Stampin' Up designer paper and mandela peel offs. I also made paper beads from the paper for the ends of the ribbon.

Penny's Fold Card

I don't know the technical term for this card, but my friend, Pat, received a similar card from her friend Penny. So it is now known as Penny's card!! I love this design and have used it a lot. In fact I am just off to make another for my friend Dawn!

Scooter Wiper Card

Once I started making these cards I couldn't stop!!

I taught this card in two of my classes. All the girls (and boys, Nico!) loved it. We used the scooter image from Buzzcraft and think it works well.

Thanks again to Denise and Lu for your hospitality and to Nico for being my little helper and a star crafter!!!

Pirate Wiper Card

I love this card - isn't he gorgeous?

I found this idea on the internet (where else!) and thought my cheeky pirate would be ideal. The images are from the Woodware stamp set called Pirate Mischief and coloured in using Le Plume brush markers.

Sam's Stampin Up Birthday Card

I made this card for my friend Sam and I hope she liked it!! The stamp is from Stampin Up's Soft Summer set and the card, papers and ribbon are left overs. The image is coloured in using watercolour crayons in Soft Subtles. I really love this stamp set and the sentiment is one of my favourites!

Peel Offs and Quilling

This the card I taught last Thursday (6 Aug). My ladies loved it, although one card ended up flying to the other side of the room (that's another story!).

I took inspiration from a card I saw online and tweaked it a little! It uses vase and foliage peel offs and quilled pegs and fringed flowers. Quilling is another technique I love and will be doing more soon!
Thanks to Denise and to Lu for making the drinks and looking very fetching in my pinny!! Janet those cream cakes were gorgeous, thank you!!

Taste of the Orient Iris Folding

Finally got around to posting this card! It's taken me a few weeks as I have been on holiday and we are in silly season (school holidays!).

I taught this card a couple of weeks ago and everyone enjoyed it! It was inspired by a card I saw in a book (sorry cannot remember which one), and as it used one of my favourite techniques, iris folding, I had to give it a go. I used a selection of different patterned and irridescent papers. The 'ribbon' and oval sticker were from an old oriental card making kit that I had forgotten I had. Hope you like it!!

Once again thanks to Denise and Lu for your hospitality and to Sue for the amazing chocolate cake.

Crazy for Cupcakes stand up card

So, I got all my goodies delivered after my Stampin' Up workshop and just had to get on with it straight away.
I used chocolate chip and pale plum CS with the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set. What do you think?
This is one of my favourite design of card. I have taught it several times at my various classes, using mainly decoupage, but think this cupcake stamp goes really well.

Stampin Up Workshop - Make and Take

Now I have started blogging I can't stop!!!

This was a make and take card I made at a Stampin Up workshop held at my house. As a hostess I was very lucky to get lots of free goodies and spend the evening with my crafting friends and Helen my demonstrator! I ended up buying this stamp set (one of many!) called Crazy for Cupcakes.

Ladybirds and Lions

Thought I would add to my blog pictures of the projects that inspired me for my lilac bag and card class.

Both projects are my take on designs I found on the internet. I taught the ladybird set at one of my classes and it went down a storm!! Hope you like them.

Lilac Bag and Card

These are the projects I taught at my class on Thursday 6th July. The ladies loved them!!

I used pearlescent lilac card for the bag and card and pearlescent white for the trim. The handle and trim on the bag were done using the Fiskars scallop border punch. The flowers were made from a strip of patterned paper punched along one edge with the Fiskars scallop punch and then folded using the 'valley' of the scallop as a guide. The greetings were stamped using Stampin Up's Oval All stamp set and their large oval punch and scallop oval punch.
We had great fun making these. Thank you to Denise and Lu for the biscuits and tea, and to Sheila for the chocolate eclairs!!
